Shtipska pastramalija is Macedonia special kind of pie made of dough and meat, originating from the city of Shtip. The traditional pastramalija has a long oval shape with chopped meat on it. The name is derived from the word pastrma, meaning salted and dried meat of sheep or lamb.

In honor of the pastrmalija, each year the city of Stip traditionally organizes the event called "Pastramalijada". The Pastramalijada usually lasts four days, filled with lots of fun and music, and of course local caterers serving pastrmajlija. This event each year is visited from many local and foreign tourists who want to try this specialty.
